Before you choose this trip
Is Xishuangbanna very hot?
It is warmer and more humid than northwest Yunnan. We use earlier starts and shaded midday pacing.
Can we combine it with Dali and Lijiang?
Yes. A flight connection usually makes the combined itinerary more comfortable than a long overland route.
Are elephant sightings guaranteed?
No. Ethical nature travel never guarantees wild sightings; the day remains worthwhile for habitat and forest interpretation.
